Short Information About Galata Tower
I think everybody heard the Galata tower and Girl's tower. You can see them in a lot of postcards.
The Galata tower, originally built in the 6th century, was originally built for the sea lantern and later served many different purposes. The height from the ground to the tip of the roof is 69.90 meters. The wall thickness is 3.75 m, the inside diameter is 8.95 m and the outside diameter is 16.45 meters. According to the static calculations made, the weight is approximately 10,000 tons and the thick body is an untreated rubble stone.

Where is the Galata Tower? How to Go?
By private vehicle
When you leave Taksim from Tarlabaşı road, you will see the Galata Tower sign on the left side. If you can follow it, you can reach the Tower.
By Bus & Minibus
Use bus or minibus for reach to Taksim. After the end of the Istiklal Street, you can reach the tower by going down 500 meters.
By Metro
Use the metro which is going Yenikapı. Leave from metro when you see the Şişhane metro station.
